Mahatma Gandhi Marg (or MG Marg/MG Road) is an extensive shopping arcade in Gangtok. It’s the hub of all activities in the city, and it’s one of the focal points for tourists. This entire one-kilometre-long stretch is a no-vehicle zone. You’re permitted to explore it only on foot.

MG Marg Gangtok's opening time and closing time are 8 AM and 8 PM. But they might change slightly depending on the weather conditions of the day. The weather in October/November or February/March is the best to visit Gangtok. Summer (from March to June) is also suitable.
It’s closed on Tuesdays. On other days, you can spend an entire evening freely exploring the market. You don’t have to pay any entry fee.
